The First Family in the Neighborhood With a Homebuilt Aircraft

Two years ago my husband and I bought a home in South Florida.  We were surprised to realize that our new neighborhood came complete with an airstrip. As we got to know our neighbors it became apparent that we have moved into a community of amateur fliers.  Those who did not rent aircraft owned them.  Many of the planes were homebuilt aircraft, created from professional kits.  It did not take long for us to become enthusiasts and my husband is now taking flying lessons.  Whether or not we build our own airplane remains is still being discussed.  Either way, we will soon be airborne.
