Coach and Bus Driver With Police Record

When I was in high school I had a soccer coach who ended up getting fired in the spring for dating a member of the softball team he was coaching at the time. I never liked the man so I was glad to hear he was dismissed. However, I was completely shocked when I learned that just a few short years later, he was given a job as a school bus driver. Don’t they do police records checks on people in these positions? They are left alone with dozens of children at a time. It makes me think twice about sending my own children on a bus to school.
