There are a lot of areas where  Biometrics  technology may prove especially useful. For example, they have been used to verify identities of people to allow or grant access to certain areas or simply to keep track of who is going where. Biometrics data is also used for keeping track of voters in some countries, with thumb or fingerprints being all that is necessary to authenticate identities. Quite a number of companies use this sort of technology for security reasons. For instance, many stores make use of this kind of technology in order to prevent pilferage of stockrooms and to keep tabs on where employees are at a given time.
