Causes of Hemroids & Hemroid Symptoms

Hemroids are varicose veins near the anus or the rectum.

Many factors contribute as to the cause of hemroids.  The following are some of the causes of hemroids: low in fiber diet, constipation, pregnancy, a lifestyle and/or occupation that is sedentary.  Some medical conditions also contribute to the formation of hemroids such as liver cirrhosis and anal infections.

Hemroid symptoms include the following: bright-red blood in the stool or on the toilet paper when wiping, even in the toilet bowl; painful swelling and discomfort; hard, tender lump around the anal area; smelly stools; burning and itching sensations; loosened hemroid tissues; and finally, the appearance and feel of hemroids.
