Training For Balance

3:01 pm Health and Fitness

If you are training to build muscle and having a balanced physique are the main goals of anyone that is in the gym. The thing is that alot of people will train their muscle groups the hardest and their weaker muscle groups the least. This leads to an unbalanced look. You should train your weakest muscle groups the hardest. To bring up your lagging body parts there are some really effective methods that you can use.

Intensity methods and strategies are a great addition to your workouts when you really want to hammer a muscle group. On days when you are training one of the muscle groups that you feel is lacking, try using supersets. Supersets are 2 exercises that are performed back to back with little or no rest at all in between them. It is great to do these for the first 2 exercises of a workout.

Another really great way to bring up a weak muscle group is to use a method called rest pause. This will help you to gain mass and strength. This is when you perform a set regularly and you rack the weight and wait for 5 or 10 seconds, and then force out a couple more reps. This really overloads that muscle and will spur some new muscle growth.

Do not use these methosds of training for every exercise, or even in every workout, just because it may cause you to overtrain. You will find that these strategies work well. You will have success woth them, that is for sure.
