When you’re looking to buy a car and you cannot afford to break the bank because you don’t have any starting capital yet, it’s a good idea to go for a used car. Used cars can be a great value for money, if you know which ones to look for. When you’re looking around for cheap old cars and you finally find one, make sure that you get a good idea of the shape the car is in. You can do this by test driving the car. While test driving, listen to the engine. Is it making any funny noises? Does it sound like a coughing old man, or a roaring tiger? The latter is always the best. Also pay attention to the gearbox, the pedals (especially the brakes!) and the steering wheel. All these need to be flexible. If they’re not, this car is not worth your time. Keep looking for another one.

The legislation which was passed in 2008 has finally become operative with the introduction of a new V317 transfer form for personalised number plates. The legislation allows for a separate Grantee to be appointed at the time of application. The applicant is always the registered keeper but now need not neccesarily be the Grantee. So the owner of the car, if he has sold the registration can retain the number but appoint the buyer as the grantee , giving hime full rights to the registration. Previously the new owner could only become nominee, leaving him exposed to potential inconvenience, loss of the number or even fraud.

A few years ago there is a 17 years old boy who made biodiesel at home. All he did was to use waste vegetable oil that he got from a Chinese restrauant and process it overnight by adding a couple of processing materials.
And voila! He got biodiesel which he uses to power his father’s car. How much these that cost him? Just $20 for 2 weeks worth of driving! Isn’t that great cost savings for all of us?
Homemade Biodiesel is real. Many people are using biodiesel for their car right now. You should try it out, you will like it.

Not that I am klutzy but since I have had children I seem to misplace even the most important items in my life. For example, the other day I misplaced my cell phone but it was not long before my daughter picked it up and gently put it in the toilet. Luckily I was able to grab it before she tried flushing it but no matter how much I dried it or took a hair dryer to it, it just would not start again. I am glad that I read the extended warranty info on the phone and decided to buy it.

As the cost of virtually everything continues to rise, so does the cost of car maintenance. When vehicle maintenance is expensive, so are the repair shops that you will pay out of pocket. Not so with extended car warranties. You can get bumper to bumper coverage and not have to pay a penny, if you have the right warranty. What a lifesaver that can be during an emergency situation. A car warranty is almost essential if your family ever takes road trips. Research the right extended car warranty for your vehicle and budget. It will be well worth the cost, since you will likely save money in the long run.

How would you like to have a horn on your car or truck that is as loud as the horn that a train blows? Sounds pretty cool, huh? You can actually purchase Train horn kits and install them on your vehicle to use as a horn. These horns have an authentic sound, just like that of a train, and they are so very powerful. They can actually be heard up to one mile away. If you want to own a horn like no other horn out there, then you need to purchase one of these kits and install one on your car or truck.

Well, I took the cat to the vet yesterday, and he refused to go into the carrier I had for him, so I let him wander in the car–big mistake! He jumped on my head and obscured my vision just as I was crossing an intersection and–oh no! I mowed down a light post! Now, the cat and I were not hurt, and my car is drivable–but that light post is going to cost a fortune, and we missed the vet appointment. Not only that, my insurance cancelled me–do you know where I can get a free car insurance quote? I really need one now!

I have never driven LHD cars and I’m afraid I won’t become accustomed to it. I can’t imagine driving on the other side of the road when I travel over seas. Will I ever get out of the habit of driving an RHD car? I heard the rear view mirrors aren’t in the same position, that I’ll have to get into the car on the other side, and the gear is not in the center of the car. I’ve been reassured that the pedals are set up the same so I just want to be sure that this difference won’t be dangerous. How long will it take for me to get used to this new driving style?

Are you looking for the perfect boat? Well, that’s all well and good, but you need to keep some things in mind. First of all, you need to have a place to store your boat before you even bring it home. If you bring it home first, you risk exposing it to the elements and the neighborhood kids. A good indoor boat storage place will be ideal, since you know your boat won’t be exposed to the weather. Also, you need to look into boat insurance. You want your boat and all of your passengers covered in case of an accident. Plus, you want your boat covered in case it is sunk in a storm. So, before you find the boat of your dreams, plan ahead and save yourself a headache.
