Atlanta Area Private Investigator Stares Down Barrel Of Gun
March 27, 2008 9:10 pm BusinessI am a PI. I have made my living this way for many years. My days are pretty mundane, most of the time. Recently I was contracted by an insurance company to determine if a man was faking an injury to milk the worker’s compensation payouts. The company believed he was doing construction work. Being a private investigator in the Atlanta area, I have seen many different things, but never had this happened before. I followed him up interstate 85 into a parking lot. I went across the street and waited for him. The next thing I knew I was surrounded by five police cars with their guns drawn. I had never been on that end of it and I was really intimidated. All it would take would have been one bad judgment call or quick movement by me and I would have had it. Once the police found out I wasn’t a stalker, they just let me go. I will never forget staring down the barrel of a Glock .40 caliber though.
