Interior Design Internships Can Lead to Employment

When I decided to get my interior design degree online the pointed out to me the importance of interior design internships. Mid way through my schooling I started an internship at a local interior design store. It was the most important step I took. The experience that I received was amazing. I worked with clients from the start of a project all the way through, dealing with clients, workmen, suppliers and my fellow designers. I worked closely with the store designers on two very big projects. I was able to add these successfully completed projects to my portfolio. When I received my degree and my license I was hired by the same design store. Today I am doing what I love and working with people I like.
